The Base And Sealer Are Important While Working On Custom Diamond Painting

Since you have made up your mind to work on a canvas that is going to be more than just a painting, it is good to think of all the ways in which the same can be enhanced. It is also necessary to know how you are going to preserve the work that you have done so painstakingly. It is of no use if you complete a diamond painting, only to have all the stones fall out of it in no time at all. For this, you need to have two important elements – basically, it is the back and front ends. The back end would be the canvas or the framework on which the custom diamond painting is done, and the front end would be the way in which you are going to ensure that it is sealed and fixed properly.

Backdrop Or Mounting

Most paintings are mounted on a framework or on a stiff canvas backing so that the entire painting looks clear and well-presented. With a diamond painting, this is even more important and necessary if you want to have a proper picture. Let us imagine that you are trying to do a painting, with all the small stones or diamonds being stuck to it. The painting is one of a young Indian lady, who has an intricate nose ring. The whole picture is just her face and the detailing is quite good. You would need to be quite dexterous to get this done. Just imagine what would happen if the mounting were not proper. You would have a situation where some of the stones begin to fall off after you have done your job. This would definitely happen if the backdrop is not sturdy or stiff.

The Sealer Or Sealant

This is a chemical compound that is used to keep all the diamonds in place. It is very much like a lamination that is done on a picture or certificate that you would like to preserve carefully. You give it to a person who is an expert in lamination, and he applies a plastic-like sheet on the article, followed by a heating process. Similarly, in the case of a diamond painting, you do not use a lamination process; instead, you use a sealant that ensures the correct and permanent placement of the stones you have put on it.

Do not take the risk of having poor quality materials when you work on something that takes so much time and effort.
